How Long Until They Kill Texas

I hate using the nebulous pronoun "they" and yet I do it all the time to describe Liberals.  So when I use the term "they" you know who I mean.  If you have to ask who "they" are then perhaps you should read more of my blog posts.

Now, on to today's happy thoughts.  Happy Easter.

In the book Atlas Shrugged, about a dystopian society where America is driven into the ground by liberal do-gooders, there is one state left in the Union where there are jobs and innovation and everybody is either moving there for jobs or to open their business.  That state was Colorado.  Amazing enough, the prophetess, Ayn Rand saw all of this happening.  Not based on any mystical power, but her concise understanding of the Liberal mind.  Well, she knew that anywhere there was success, Liberals would not be far behind snatching defeat from the talons of victory.

In the book Directive 10-289 decreed:
In the name of the general welfare, to protect the people's security, to achieve full equality and total stability, it is decreed for the duration of the national emergency that:
Point One. All workers, wage earners and employees of any kind whatsoever shall henceforth be attached to their jobs and shall not leave nor be dismissed nor change employment, under penalty of a term in jail. The penalty shall be determined by the Unification Board, such Board to be appointed by the Bureau of Economic Planning and National Resources. All persons reaching the age of twenty-one shall report to the Unification Board, which shall assign them to where, in its opinion, their services will best serve the interests of the nation.
Point Two. All industrial, commercial, manufacturing and business establishments of any nature whatsoever shall henceforth remain in operation, and the owners of such establishments shall not quit nor leave nor retire, nor close, sell or transfer their business, under penalty of the nationalization of their establishment and of any and all of their property.
Point Three. All patents and copyrights, pertaining to any devices, inventions, formulas, processes and works of any nature whatsoever, shall be turned over to the nation as a patriotic emergency gift by means of Gift Certificates to be signed voluntarily by the owners of all such patents and copyrights. The Unification Board shall then license the use of such patents and copyrights to all applicants, equally and without discrimination, for the purpose of eliminating monopolistic practices, discarding obsolete products and making the best available to the whole nation. No trademarks, brand names or copyrighted titles shall be used. Every formerly patented product shall be known by a new name and sold by all manufacturers under the same name, such name to be selected by the Unification Board. All private trademarks and brand names are hereby abolished.
Point Four. No new devices, inventions, products, or goods of any nature whatsoever, not now on the market, shall be produced, invented, manufactured or sold after the date of this directive. The Office of Patents and Copyrights is hereby suspended.
Point Five. Every establishment, concern, corporation or person engaged in production of any nature whatsoever shall henceforth produce the same amount of goods per year as it, they or he produced during the Basic Year, no more and no less. The year to be known as the Basic or Yardstick Year is to be the year ending on the date of this directive. Over or under production shall be fined, such fines to be determined by the Unification Board.
Point Six. Every person of any age, sex, class or income, shall henceforth spend the same amount of money on the purchase of goods per year as he or she spent during the Basic Year, no more and no less. Over or under purchasing shall be fined, such fines to be determined by the Unification Board.
Point Seven. All wages, prices, salaries, dividends, profits, interest rates and forms of income of any nature whatsoever, shall be frozen at their present figures, as of the date of this directive.
Point Eight. All cases arising from and rules not specifically provided for in this directive, shall be settled and determined by the Unification Board, whose decisions will be final.
When it comes out and is announced they say it "Killed Colorado".   Others called it The Moratorium on Brains.  I call it extremely possible in the current administration.  This sounds exactly like Obamacare to me. It's got just enough double-speak and hive mind thought as Obamacare.

Right now Texas is enjoying a boom in its economy to which no other state is equal.  It is putting a harsh light on all of the failed economic policies of the Obama Administration.  As we all know, Obama won't stand looking like the idiot he truly is without lashing out irrationally.  Since he and his ilk cannot beat us fairly, they will make laws and policies that will make it impossible for anyone to succeed.  Because in the end, even mediocrity will be too good for them.

Just take a look at how the damned thing begins, as it always does for the bleeding hearts who want nothing more than death for all and everything, "In the name of the general welfare..."

Think about it for a moment, how can anything in that directive be good for the general welfare?  It's only good for the crony capitalists who were sure to buy their own DC protection to keep themselves at the top of a false heap.  For those of you unclear on the whole "crony capitalist" bit, this is what happens when you run to Washington rather than running your business.

Think about this, if you were a small business, say, a grocer, how could you possibly stay in business?  Say you ran an appliance store, how would you survive?  If you built airplanes would you get on one of them after this directive was put in to place?  If you have a employee who was a useless git you couldn't fire them.  Would you still put them on the line?

So how long until the idiots in DC decide they are going to kill the success in Texas in their mad attempt to hide their gross ineptitude and ignorance?  Do you honestly think that they can continue to have their noses rubbed in their own stupidity by the likes of Ted Cruz and Rick Perry?  How long until they take action and try to make it sound as magical as Obamacare did to the lazy pieces of shit unwilling to get out of their own excrement or fend for themselves?

Another problem for the Liberal morons, Texas is a Right to Work state, something that causes them to foam at the mouth and gnash their terrible teeth.  I dare you.  Sneak up behind a lib pal and whisper "right to work" into their ear.  Comedy gold and better yet, it never gets old.  Unions hold no sway here because we have cheap labor and a better standard of living than anywhere else in the country.  Libs cannot stand it when one thing stands out against the others they've built into their thinking as being "the norm".  The norm is a lie, any statistician will tell you that.  Texas stands out.  Texans are Texans first, Americans second.  Doubt me?  Meet one out of the country and ask where they are from.  Texans always say Texas rather than America or the US.  We self-identify with the state.

Texans are anathema to everything liberals screech about.  Most of us are rugged individualists.  We have no problem making our own way in the world and expect others to do the same.  We will pay good money for a good product.  We take pride in the things we do.  We are basically people who are happy in our own skins and see no problem with success. We see the success of others and are happy for them while we pursue our own.  We don't sit back like a pouty child in class envious and angry because we didn't get the gold star.  And that sentence right there sums up the Liberal mentality perfectly.  Their entire mythology is based on envy and greed.

I sit back and wait while I see them making the moves necessary to start killing Texas.  The Bureau of Land Management is now up in North Texas trying to steal deeded ranch land from families that have held it for over a century with some bogus premise based on the ignorance of just basic geography and a dearly held wish to take over land in Texas.  Only 1.9% of the land in Texas is held by the government.  Private property is everything in Texas.  People here brag about the land they own and know the decimal point how much acreage they own.  Even if they lease it, they know.  Texas will not be an easy kill.

We love our firearms here in Texas.  At this point, I think it is the ONLY thing keeping things from getting contentious and ugly.

I firmly believe that when Wendy Davis loses her bid for the governorship of the state the liberals will not give up and realize that even Dixiecrats don't do well here any longer.  I believe they will attempt to fix the election or Obama will just install her as Governor.

I believe the day is coming and within my lifetime when Texans will remember we were a country before we chose to join the Union and we can undecide that  joining and there isn't a damned thing the US government can do about it.  Contract law baby.  If the US acts in bad faith the the State of Texas and its citizens then we can and should nullify our joining treaty and return to a Republic.  The US has broken faith with us, trashed its social contract with us and if we cannot hold them responsible because of all of their slippery loopholes and skullduggery, then perhaps we should just take our ball and go home.  We are completely self-sufficient.  We have no need of anything outside our borders and can trade with whom we please.

This thing is going to get ugly and it will get bloody at sometime in the very near future, because a free person has no wish to be enslaved in body or mind.
