What Does Going Galt Mean?

I loved this Trifecta segment.

Steve Green, The Vodka Pundit, and Godfather of Drunk Blogging, brought up a point from the Ayn Rand novel Atlas Shrugged, in Part 3, where the economy is in the sewer, and the people are starting to rise up and question all of this Big Government Looter intrusion into their daily lives, and the Gerat Minds come up with Directive 1089. He points out that there are no longer laws, just the Government telling you how it's going to be.

But Directive 1089 is actually the Devil of all of the Details. It tells people they cannot make any more money than they do the year the Directive is put in to place. However, taxes can go up because, lets face it, they really don't think they can ever run out of other people's money. The people are revolting, the Government has captured John Galt, who allowed himself to be captured because he has a greater message to put forth. They are holding him prisoner in a hotel and literally with a gun to his head, tell him to get them out of the mess they themselves have made. They think they can make someone save them from themselves. Because they really do believe in the magical concept of saving someone from themselves.

Mr. Thompson, played by Barack Obama in our reality, tells John Galt, "We'll give you anything to save us!" Galt tells them, "Get the hell out of my way." Mr. Thompson replies, "We can't do that." Galt smiles and sits back and says, "I told you we had nothing to talk about."

This is the point we are at right now in history folks. You might say that Atlas Shrugged was a handbook written by a Russian Sage in the middle part of the last century. Ayn Rand wrote what she knew. She knew Czarist Russia and she knew the Bolshevik Revolution and she knew the Soviet Union. She came to America in the 1920s, she emigrated, she did not defect. She loved this country only as someone denied physical and intellectual freedom truly can. She recognized the liberal elites for who and what they were and she tasked herself to opening our eyes to recognize them as well.

As our Liberal leaders try to scare everyone into a Chicken Little acceptance of every stupid thing they tell us as Crisis and Impending Doom, we should stand up and tell them that we can very well see the Emperor has no clothes. The world is not going to end if we don't do what they tell us. The world WILL end if we keep allowing them to scare us into every little thing they need until we are all on our knees begging them to save us from... THEM.

The odds of me ever going on my knees and begging them for anything are none. I can do for myself. If they make doing for myself illegal, then God help them, because I will have no mercy in me. They know who are They are and They have been put on notice.

Get the hell out of my way.
