And I'm Back...

"When you accept money in payment for your effort, you do so only on the conviction that you will exchange it for the product of the effort of others. It is not the moochers or the looters who give value to money. Not an ocean of tears nor all the guns in the world can transform those pieces of paper in your wallet into the bread you will need to survive tomorrow." - Ayn Rand

What a wonderful quote to welcome me back to blogging this week. It's been raining. Sue me. I logged in to Facebook this evening and what should be sitting on my wall but that quote from Ayn Rand, my intellectual hero. It is so true.

Progressive Liberals live the lie that if you call a black thing blue, long enough, eventually black will be blue. They really do believe this. When they call Tea Party members racist, they honestly believe that if they say it long enough it will become true. Then they rationalize this by saying that once they think it's true, then that makes them always truthful and honest.

They think they are so holy and truthful when it's only abominable conceit.

In the immortal words of Aristotle, A is A. Calling it B will never make it B, it will always be A. And for another literary reference to the truth being absolute, as George Emerson said in Foresters A Room With A View, "It's fate, but call it Italy if you like." If you don't get that you need to read more and watch artier films by English directors.

Calling theft by the name of taxation makes it no less evil or illegal. Calling extortion Obamacare makes it no less extortion than calling it ice cubes.

It is what it is.

And here endeth the lesson.

No alcohol was consumed in the writing of this post.
