Why ComicsGate Will Win

Dear Comic Book Publishers:

Please consider this an open letter to everyone in the industry, publishers, editors, all the way down to the lady who empties the wastebaskets your employees have to bring from home and empty themselves. I just wanted to get that dig in early.

Recently, Sweetcast put a video up on YouTube explaining how to get rid of ComicsGate, that movement that appears to turn all “Pros” within your industry into rabid retards. See Mark Waid for further reference. Watch the video, it's a scathing indictment given by a pretty nice guy who recognized you for the idiots you are.

Do you know who buys comic books? Nobody. Nobody buys comic books anymore and comic books stores are going out of business at a catastrophic pace. No shops to sell your books in means you don’t make money. But you have such wonderful fans, you say. Feral fans, in fact. 

Yes, I can imagine Renfamous reads comic books. I’m sure that she loved Chelsea Cain’s Man Eaters and contemplating her menstrual cycle. I’m joking. Ren can’t read and Joe Quesada was too stupid to figure that out. But, she’s behind so many block bots on Twitter now, no one will be able to witness the sheer stupidity that is Lauren Cooper. What a mean-spirited twat you groomed, there Joe. Real class. Indicative of what we can expect from an industry that regularly dumps on the people willing to give them their money. Or, was willing to give you money.

I think the saddest thing I ever see is people who don’t really matter thinking they really do and then believing their own shit. Comic books only matter to those who are interested in them, and you, the supposed Pros, ruined that. I stopped buying comic books as a going concern in 1999. Do you want to know what ruined it for me? An X-Men book where Rogue and Iceman went on a road trip after she had discovered how Gambit had betrayed them all. Yeah, I could already see it coming. In the next twenty years it became worse than I predicted. Worse than I could have predicted.

I could never had foreseen an industry treating paying customers like shit then screaming at them when they complained. I’ve seen you call fans and readers stupid and unable to understand the intricacies that only exist in your own twisted minds. You can’t take criticism; you push a political agenda so warped it defies all reason. Let’s just say that when Marvel decided to make Jane Foster Thor, I was not surprised. I knew it was only a matter of time.

And then came Heather Antos. A woman so stupid that she doesn’t realize what a grifter she really is. She had no talent or credentials, but Marvel hired her on anyway. Then she had her “Make Mine Milkshake” attack of clevers on twitter and attacked the mostly male customer base that once paid Marvel Comics a lot of money.

Richard C Meyer, aka Diversity In Comics, aka Ya Boi Zack, made his famous Dark Roast video and the howls among the harpies could be heard all the way to his apartment in Hells Kitchen.  Oh! They misogyny! Oh, the racism... whoa, what? Yeah, every single ism was thrown Zack's way. They told him if he was so smart, make his own comic... so he did.

See the Mark Waid reference above to see the abject retardation that ensued and how he then got sued by Zack.

Yeah, Zack did make his own book and was in a contract with Arctic Press to publish and distribute the book. Zack just wants to see his book in shops that no longer exist. His books made very fat stacks for just one issue while the comics book industry keeps rebooting series after series because everything fails and no one is buying their shit.

If you want to know the trick to making ComicsGate disappear, leave us alone, stop talking to and about us and start creating books with stories and characters want to read. Full Disclosure, Miss Marvel and Captain Marvel ain't it.
