Finally! We closed on the 18th of August and immediately began to move in to our new home. This is the first home we've bought, so it's an exciting time for us, realizing that if anything breaks we buy it.
We've been slowly getting things in to place. The cable here sucked eggs when we moved in. I married the cable guy and I can't get but a handful of stations... thanks honey. Last weekend we re-wired the entire house to get a better signal and put the cable connections and data ports for the home network in interior walls. It's a thing of beauty that my husband forgot to wire the sunroom where we have put our desks and computers. Luckily he installed the server room first thing. Thank God for that little extra room off the laundry room.
Right now my beloved spouse is outdoors smoking and cleaning flower beds like a demon. He desperately wants to play Sims2 so that he can build our house and then see how the changes he wants to make will look. The brain trust deleted Sims2 from his computer because he thought a patch was a virus and now he can't find the installation disks. So he has all of the expansions staring him in the face. He should know to ask me before doing anything software related. Men!
The dogs hate me, they are not allowed in the new house at all. I am still getting rid of german shepherd hair that got transferred to the new house. And so my new house does not smell like dog and never will. The cats love me. No dogs in the house means that they have the run of the house which is nothing more than a slightly challenging obstacle course to them. I so do love being a stepping stone in some feline steeplechase.
Pictures of before and after as soon as I find the damned USB cable to offload my digicam!
