A Revolutionary Idea For the 21st Century

As we all sat through grade school, middle school, high school and college, grudgingly learning the history of our country, we yawned, we slept, we drooled, but some of it stuck. Some of it stuck enough for us to remember that the last time tyranny raised its ugly head, we reacted, we acted and we became the great nation we are today.

That has been forgotten for too long by people so inured in the status quo that they've re-elected Ted Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi over and again. Despite everything in logic telling them that these were poor choices to govern.

In April we had the Tea Parties across the nation. They are not stopping at the mere tax protest, however. Things are continuing. They've learned that one lone voice in the wilderness will not be heard. However, one whisper, mixed with millions of outraged others will become a shout that cannot be ignored. And to that end, the Waco Tea Party is having a party this weekend at Hog Creek Ice House.

This is not sedition. This is the citizenry of a nation standing up to those who govern and reminding them who put them there. It's clean up or get out time. I see the next few years being a tough time for career politicians. It's Come to Jesus time, my peeps, and I doubt Pelosi or Barney Frank will make the cut. Not because they are female and/or gay, but because they are inept and corrupt. It's not like I'm telling secrets here, there is an entire public record which records their shenanigans.

Last week Pelosi threw down on the CIA. It may not happen this week or even next month, but you can bet your bottom dollar that something will come up close to re-election time in her district which will cause her constituency to revile her. She's from California so they ARE looking at an uphill battle.

Ted Kennedy killed someone and still got elected to the highest office in his state. He's made a joke out of himself and his office so many times that the only way you'll get him out of office is to wait for him to die of his brain tumor... even then I'm sure the People of Massachusetts would gladly prop up his preserved carcass in his Senate Seat and keep re-electing him. They're all over that like lake water on Ted Kennedy.

Speaking of the Great State of Massachusetts, do the voters there seem particularly retarded to you? They keep electing jokes like Any Kennedy, John Kerry, Barney Frank, et al and then are surprised by things like corruption in the Big Dig project and congressional goings on. If they could just manage to be a little less disingenuous when pretending to be outraged on the evening news, I might buy it. And yet, election after election their idiot politicians keep being elected to offices they've proven time and again they are not fit to hold.

Like Sam Cook sang, lo those many years ago, but I know a change is gonna come, oh yes it will.
